With additional education and experience, teachers have many advancement opportunities.
They can move into positions such as guidance counselor or school
librarian. They can become specialists (for example in reading, technology
or curriculum) or advance into administration. In a
growing number of systems, teachers can also become
mentors. Mentors continue to teach, but command higher salaries by
coaching less experienced educators. |
